Water safety
If you plan to enjoy the water, learn how to stay safe when swimming, boating and fishing .
Late arrivals/early departures
The gate to the campsite is locked overnight during the peak season. If you're arriving late via Picton ferry (after 8 pm) or have an early departure time (before 7 am) Whites Bay Campsite is not suitable during the peak period (Labour weekend to Easter). In this case we recommend Whatamango Bay Campsite (15 minutes from the ferry terminal in Picton). It has wide open spaces, is quicker to get to and easier to get in and out of.
