This pleasant, easy walk is a chance for children to explore the bush and the shore.
The route
The Nancy Fladgate Track is a pleasant walk through regenerating coastal bush beside a stream to Waihihi Bay (Brick Bay). This track is part of the Russell Track network, and a perfect opportunity for a short stroll to a picturesque bay. At the seaward end of the track, you can, at low tide, walk around the rocks and beaches to Tapeka Point (by turning right), and Russell town (by turning left).
