How ParkUp Works
ParkUp helps respectful van, bus, campervan, and house-truck travellers find safe private places to park up across Aotearoa. Hosts can list a driveway, paddock, lifestyle block, spare car park, or simple park-up space. Travellers send a request, hosts stay in control, and the exact address is only shared once a stay is accepted.

ParkUp does not provide blanket legal approval for every property or every type of stay. Local council rules, district plans, camping-ground regulations, insurance, tax, and health requirements can vary depending on location, facilities, number of guests, and whether money changes hands. Hosts are responsible for checking what applies to their property before accepting stays. ParkUp is building tools and guidance to help, but hosts should seek council, legal, tax, or insurance advice where needed.
