We're looking after a beautiful 2,400m² section on the edge of Christchurch, bordering the red zone and surrounded by established trees. There’s a lot we’d love to do with the land, and we could use a few extra hands along the way. So we’re opening up a space for travellers who’d like to stay in exchange for helping us care for and improve the property. It feels surprisingly peaceful and green for somewhere so close to the city. Central Christchurch is only around a five-minute drive away, and shops, a supermarket and other amenities are within easy walking distance. There’s plenty of room, with access to a bathroom, laundry and sauna. The exchange We’re looking for practical help around the property. Depending on what’s happening while you’re here, this might include things like cleaning, gardening, clearing and tidying areas, pruning, moving materials, composting, planting or other general land-care jobs. We’d agree together beforehand on what help is needed and what you have energy for. If you have particular skills, let us know. There’s plenty here to put good hands to use.
