About this space
Pitch a tent under the trees or park your van in the paddock. $25 per person a night, or $20 a night if you stay a week or longer, and the whole farm is yours to use: two communal kitchens and a covered outdoor one, hot showers, washing machines, wifi, the library, the lounge, the hammocks, the music room, the water slide. Feed the calves. Milk a cow. Walk up into the native bush. Take the kayak down to the sea. We are a working farm and a community, not a holiday park. Sites are grass. Power is there for an extra charge and we have a dump station. You share the place with volunteers, retreat guests, farm dogs and whoever else has landed here this week. Evenings tend to end around the fire pit. Walking Te Araroa? We are a trail stop. Come in for a hot shower, a bed or a tent site, and a proper feed. Things to know
$25 per person per night, or $20 per person per night for a week or longer. The price is per person, so any size of van, bus or house truck is fine. Sites are grass. Power is available for an extra charge. There is a dump station. Check in from 2pm, out by 11am. Fires in the fire pit only. Dogs are welcome. There are farm dogs, chickens and stock about.
Work exchange
Some campers stay longer and help out for a few hours a day in the gardens, the kitchen or with the animals instead of paying the nightly rate. Ask us when you request.
