Looking for a getaway to relax, enjoy and explore the outdoors? Camp in a peaceful, family friendly scenic reserve near Raglan. Explore the bush, swim in the harbour, and relax in nature while staying in a space well cared for with respect and connection to the land. Spacious grassy camping sites for tents and campervans. A hot outdoor shower, eco compost toilets, spring water dishwashing stations (all water is drinkable), BBQ and shared seating areas, creative and relaxation zones, a trampoline and open play spaces. Children can run freely, there are no public roads nearby, and there are friendly animals about: goats, chickens, bunnies and two resident cats. While you are here, walk the loop track through the Pakoka Scenic Reserve to lookout points and the private inlet of Karetoto, swim or kayak the inlet on the high tide, spot kereru, piwakawaka, tui and ruru, and look for glowworms on the rocks by the creek at night. $25 a night for a single, $40 a couple, $10 a child aged 3 to 12, under 3 free. Groups and families are welcome to book the space together. Book through our website or send us a request. Other ways to stay: the Rimu house, a wooden cabin for two with a king bed, kitchenette and an ensuite with a cast iron bath, and two private rooms, Kowhai and Kauri, each with a queen bed and shared bathrooms. $25 a night single, $40 a couple, $10 a child 3 to 12, under 3 free. The price is per person, not per site. Grass sites, no powered sites. Hot outdoor shower, compost toilets, drinkable spring water, BBQ. Off grid, so: no fridge or TV, limited power for charging (bring a power bank), composting toilets. Dogs welcome on a leash. Please keep them away from the goats, chickens and bunnies. Residential gardens are the residents' own, not for personal harvest. Ask if you are curious. Phillips Road is gravel. Good phone reception on site.
