Manawa is a private accommodation space set in the hills of Whitecliffs, an hour from Christchurch. It is made for group getaways, celebrations, or a few days away to slow down and enjoy the surroundings. Book a private sleeping pod for two, or take the whole property for your group and have it exclusively yours. Up to 23 people sleep here: seven private sleeping pods, each with a queen bed, and a bunk room with three queen beds and three single beds. Three shared bathrooms in the main house. A fully equipped kitchen for shared meals and group catering, with indoor and outdoor dining. A lounge with a fire. A light filled yoga and workshop studio with mats, bolsters, blocks and eye masks. Outside: a sauna, a swimming pool and a hot tub. Walking trails across 88 acres, a fire pit, and access to the Selwyn River. Wake up to fresh country air, slow mornings with a coffee in nature, and evenings gathered under the stars. Add experiences to your stay if you like: yoga, Pilates, sound baths, a culinary class, archery, clay bird shooting or backcountry horse riding. Catering and a private chef can be arranged. Nearby there is Hororata Golf Club, Rakaia Gorge, Washpen Falls and Lake Coleridge. A private pod for two starts at $449 a night. All beds are indoors. We do not take vans, campervans or tents, and there is no camping on the property. From $449 a night for a private pod for two. Whole property, sleeps 23, priced for your dates and numbers. Exclusive hire takes a 50 percent deposit. Check in 2pm to 8pm, check out by 10am. Wifi in the shared areas. No pets. Ask us about catering, a private chef and add on experiences. Rural roads in, narrow and winding in places, with limited mobile coverage. Plan your route before you leave.
