School and kura visits
During the school term. Send us a request with your year level and what your ākonga want to explore, and we will work out a date with you.
Free for schools.
Bring your class to the campus. We work with kura to connect climate action to the curriculum, with place based learning that students can take back to their own school.
Some of what we do: habitats for Year 1 and 2, Matariki for Year 4 and 5, technology for Year 5 and 6. Meet our bees and the Queen Bee, feed the chickens, grow kai in the mara and cook it in our whare kai, go worm farming and bug hunting in the red zone, sit in the butterfly shed with our Boulder Copper butterflies, make pizza from our own herb garden, learn to manage a predator trap, or paint a mural.
We can also come out to your school first to start a topic based unit of mahi, then follow up with a kōrerorero back at your kura once you have been here.
NCEA students can earn work experience credits with us in the plant nursery, organic market gardening, horticulture and landscaping.
