Discover the magic of the Hakea Tour, a journey through the Pakoka Scenic Reserve and the grounds of Hakea Retreat. Explore the lush food forest, meet the farm animals, and see sustainability in action against the backdrop of Aotea Harbour.
The reserve is in the second generation of regeneration, covered in kanuka, kowhai, rewarewa, tanekaha, rimu, totara, miro, nikau and ponga, with kereru, piwakawaka, tui and ruru in the trees. The loop track takes you to lookout points and the private inlet of Karetoto. A blend of scenic views and eco-conscious experiences.
