Wednesday 17 February, 1pm, to Monday 22 February 2027, 3pm. The main gathering weekend is Saturday 20 and Sunday 21 February, on the full moon. Places go to co-creators first, then previous supporters a month later, then the public if spaces remain. Send an RSVP here and we will be in touch.
Koha, which covers the costs of the gathering (it is not for profit). In 2026 the three levels were One Vibe $80, One Tribe $120 and Hakea Love $160 a person, under 12 free. 2027 levels to be confirmed.
Kotahi karihi nāna ko te wao tapu nui a Tāne. The creation of the forests of Tāne comes from one kernel.
Over the years, Hakea has become a collective project where creativity is gathered and shared in a variety of forms including art, knowledge, music and much more. It is a place for alternative thinking as well as conscious celebrations. The Hakea Gathering is a community led gathering celebrating connection, creativity, regenerative living, music, learning and our relationship with the natural world. It brings together people of all ages to share knowledge, stories, art, music, food and meaningful connection.
Our kaupapa is kaitiakitanga (care of all living systems, our planet, oceans, waterways and forests), whanaungatanga (care for the self, kin and the community) and manaakitanga (the very essence of respectful caring and protection of others).
This is an intimate family event with limited spaces, around 80 people, to maximise the experience of connection, sharing and love. It is a camping style event, so bring your tent or van. There is a big grass shaded area to park or pitch. Bring your camping gear, food, warm clothes, swimming gear, marshmallows for the fire, cushions to sit around, fairy lights if you have any, and anything that makes you happy. Alongside the music, interactive arts, expression and learning spaces will be there to share, co-create, co-inspire, dance, play, love and learn.
Under 12s are free. We love having the whole whanau here. If money is the thing stopping you, get in touch and we will make it work.
