Our food forest has over a hundred species, fruit trees, subtropicals, tropicals, natives and support plants, growing together in layered systems. You will see the banana circles that cycle water and nutrients back into the land, the regeneratively managed gardens, and the water systems designed to slow, spread and soak. Permaculture at Hakea is not theoretical. It is lived, practised and refined through years of working with the land.
